Château Lafite Rothschild

A Premier Cru Classé en 1855, Château Lafite was acquired by Baron James de Rothschild in 1868. Lafite is still in the hands of the descendants of Baron James, and they have never stopped working to enhance the quality and prestige of the estate.

The wines of Lafite are internationally renowned for their unique blend of finesse and strength, with distinctive notes of cedarwood, almond and violet.

One of the largest elite vineyards in terms of surface area (100 hectares), the blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot produces wines which defy the march of time. The best vintages can retain their outstanding character for between 100 and 200 years.
