Cristal Roederer

Maison Louis Roederer was founded in Reims in 1776. By the early nineteenth century Roederer champagne was a fixture at the most exclusive tables in the world, with a particularly strong reputation in Russia.

Tsar Alexander II asked Maison Roederer to create a bespoke Cuvée, and it is this special champagne which is now known as Cristal - presented in a clear bottle with a flat base, adorned with the Tsar's coats of arms.

Cristal is only produced in excellent years, with grapes selected from the finest of the estate's seven grands crus.

The result is a wine which is precise and silky smooth, combining great body with extremely fine bubbles. Cristal is superbly well-balanced, and will grow in stature with age.
