CHÂTEAU PÉTRUS

Petrus is a wine which has gradually ascended to mythical status. Unlike the other great châteaux, Petrus is not a classic Bordeaux blend - it is the king of the Merlots, with a rich history of outstanding vintages. Petrus is a wine which must be experienced, even if just once in a lifetime, in order to truly understand its sublime potential. The estate is owned by the Moueix family, and its wines are highly exclusive on account of the limited volumes produced and the high prices which result.

The dominant Merlot ( 95% ), combined with just 5% Cabernet Franc, produces wines which are rich, sensual and powerful. The nose carries prominent truffle notes, while on the palate Petrus explodes with velvety-smooth flavour.
