DOMAINE DE LA ROMANEE CONTI

The Domaine de la Romanée Conti, with a history stretching back over 1500 years, is truly the doyen of the Burgundy region. The estate's team of winemakers, working under the supervision of co-managers Aubert de Vilaine and Henry-Frédéric Roch, produce 6 superior reds in the vicinity of Vosnes-Romanée and a white at the Puligny-Montrachet vineyard. The most famous of these is undoubtedly the Romanée Conti, an exquisite wine produced in strictly limited quantities and highly coveted by connoisseurs.

When tasting a bottle of Romanée Conti one soon runs out of superlatives: the Pinot Noir gives a deep ruby rose, while the nose is packed with notes of copper, juniper berries, cherry and spices. On the palate the flavours are dense and concentrated, yet delicate and precise.

The other wines of the estate - Richebourg, La Tache, Echezeaux, Grand Echezeaux, Romanée Saint-Vivant and Montrachet - are no less distinguished, standing as great Burgundies in their own right.
